The Thumb Caddy is a new golf training aid on the market that focuses on the starting point for all golfers: the grip. This small, rubber coated, plastic device ensures the perfect grip and the correct club alignment every time.

  The Thumb Caddy is the brain child of Walter Robinson, a fitness consultant and life-long golf enthusiast. “I kept slicing and hooking,” said Robinson. “I knew that I needed a better way to keep my grip from slipping during my swing. Without the right grip, I had no control over my swing or the position of the club face.” This inspiration leads Walter down the road of invention.

  The journey began with a piece of PVC plastic cut in a circular fashion to surround the club grip to create a 'cradle' for the thumb. Next in the evolution was an initial plastic mold, to be followed by an improved, two cavity mold made of nylon and coated in a soft blanket of rubber, complete with memory and elasticity. In the end, Robinson created an affordable, easy to use training tool that helps develop a controlled grip and a more effective swing.
